low level Involvement

A panel of residents who complete 4 – 6 surveys per year in order to provide us with valuable feedback and comments on current issues and specific areas of service delivery
Publications Panel
A panel of residents who review all editions of our quarterly resident newsletters, and any other publications including leaflets and handbooks, that we produce for residents
Medium Level Involvement
Block or Street Reps
Representatives (Reps) work with neighbourhood teams on a local level to help maintain excellent levels of service delivery for our residents and neighbourhoods. Reps act as the first point of contact in making information available to local residents, take part in consultation and estate inspections, report on any communal services and update local notice boards where they are in place.
Residents Associations
Residents’ Associations provide an opportunity for residents to meet with staff and local agencies on a regular basis in order to discuss local issues and the way their homes and neighbourhood are managed. Contact details of local Residents’ Associations can be supplied on request by the relevant Resident Involvement Manager.
Wessex Property Services Tenant Satisfaction Surveys
Residents’ opportunity to carry out monthly telephone surveys to poll satisfaction of fellow customers who have used First Wessex Property Services’ (FWPS) maintenance and repairs service.
Wessex Property Services Tenant Working Group
A panel of residents that meets with First Wessex Property Services (FWPS) staff to discuss current issues and relevant topics, service improvements and developments, and help ensure the work of FWPS is resident-led.
Neighbourhood Improvement Panel
A group that meets to discuss, consider and approve bids made by housing staff with the support of residents to the Neighbourhood Improvement Fund. The fund exists to enable local area improvements that would not be included on the planned and cyclical maintenance schedule.
If you have any ideas for improvements to your local area and would like to make an application to the Neighbourhood Improvement Panel please contact the Customer Services Team on 08450 551122 and ask to speak to your Neighbourhood Manager or contact them direct
Design Approval Panel
A panel that makes recommendations to the Executive and Group Development Committee on all development schemes, taking into account aspects such as site location, proposed tenure, outline design, Housing Quality Indicator scores and overall Eco Homes assessment for new development schemes.
Resident Interview Panel
A panel of residents who are trained to assist in the short-listing process and take part on the recruitment selection panel for a variety of customer facing senior management positions and front line staff appointments.
Home Owners' Forum
While Home Owners are invited to become involved in any of the other ways that we offer, we have a separate Home Owners’ Forum to discuss issues and look at all aspects of leasehold management, including service charges and sinking funds.
High level Involvement
These options require dedication and a more regular commitment: a minimum of 2 hours every month, excluding reading time, events and away-days where relevant.
Tenants Together
A group of residents set up to help create a better understanding between PHA and residents and look at quality of service and performance. Any resident is eligible to become a member of Tenants Together (TT). The group meets 6 times per year as well as attending other service review group/focus groups and contractor and staff interviews.
The group contribute to continual improvement in day to day housing management services. Members have the opportunity to consider and approve the Association’s policy making and review the quality of services and performance. This is not a forum for discussing personal issues, but your opportunity to represent all residents and bring common issues to the table for discussion.
